Random Stuff I Was Thinking About This Week #1
1. Lessons Learned from 'The Hijack' - After putting what I thought was 'the final product' out there, I received a lot of compelling feedback from all kinds of people. It was all good feedback and I'm glad I got it, but what it illustrated was that the movie was at 90% and I needed to fix some things before I submitted it to the 3-Minute Film Festival, which I did.
But what to do about the version of the movie that's already out there on Youtube?
More Info about The Hijack
I wrote up some notes about The Hijack which you can read here. Included is the original screenplay and I thought you might enjoy that.
Little Man is fine - the scare about him and peanut allergies is over and all he got was a rash for his trouble. Was exhausted last night but still up again at quarter of six and thinking about everything that needs to be done today. My sister today said that she wanted to know 'how to be driven' and I honestly couldn't think of what the response should have been.
So We’re Doing a Movie
97.3 - Alice is doing their 3-Minute Film Festival. Swa and I decided to throw our hat in the ring and make an entry:
THE HIJACK
Story: Two former co-workers are taking a ride to pick up a piece of technology they helped invent - one is the thief, the other is the victim.
We have until 10/19 to get an entry together and burned to DVD - not a lot of time but it's a short production. I'll keep you posted as to how things are going.
