TimWoolery.net Documenting the Journey and the Learning Curve

About

About pages are frequently self-serving and reflect a version of you that you would like others to see. That being said - I am a human being with all the greatness and foibles that this implies.  I work every day at a job I'm good at. I also scream at the cat. I own a house, am a husband and a father.  I also frequently act irresponsibly and wish for a winning lottery ticket so that I could be out from under the stresses of daily life.

All that understood?  Good.  Now, what you should know is that this is a weird ride. I probably shouldn't have survived some of the trouble I've been in, some of the bad things I've experienced, but I have. Now all I have to do is figure out how best to use the remaining time that I by all rights shouldn't have in the first place - plus do all of that without being paralyzed by the terrible, wonderful fragility of life.

How to Use This Information

This website is an experiment in openness – in public cogitation.  I’m a thinking person and it’s been my experience that one of the best ways to determine whether or not your perspective makes sense is to subject it to public scrutiny.  The topics of discussion range from ‘dead serious’ to the ‘downright silly’ and sometimes I’ll go from one to the other in the same sentence.  I cover the full spectrum because that’s how broad my interests are.  I trust that you (the reader) are big, ugly and tough enough to come along for the ride.  Real life relies on conscious, purposeful, decisive action and you need a place to get your head together before you go and execute.  All that being said – these are words, people, not evidence.  If you have come here like a grand jury looking for things to use in an indictment of my character then you have missed the point of the exercise.

For those of you that do not enjoy the words, my only response is “please go find another blog to read then”.  I can promise that I don’t (and won’t) use this space to openly advocate violence, insurrection or the willful commission of public crimes.  That’s the only punishment you can really inflict and it’s the only punishment I will suffer.  Anything beyond that goes into “Internet Tough Guy” territory and I outgrew that nonsense years ago.  This space on the Internet is for people who have done the same.
